Il prezzo dell'alluminio in Cina supera il prezzo LME. Il prezzo LME dell'alluminio ha sottoperformato nettamente nell'ultimo mese, anzi, è l'unico dei metalli più importanti negoziati sul mercato con caduta di prezzo oltre i termini previsti. Prezzo dell'alluminio cinese, al contrario del LME , ha continuato ad aumentare, mentre le scorte sono diminuite, riflettendo la solida domanda nel mercato interno. LME copper eases, shrugs off weak dlr but Fed worries SINGAPORE, April 27 (Reuters) - London copper extended losses on Wednesday, under pressure from a softer technical outlook, uncertainty ahead of a Federal Reserve news conference and weak data on the Japanese economy. "I think the price direction of copper at the moment is driven by risk aversion in the market, which supports precious metals but compresses base metals and other riskier assets," Chen Xin Yi, Associate vice president at Barclays Capital said. Japan March copper exports fall 16 pct yr/yr TOKYO, April 27 (Reuters) - - Japan's refined copper exports fell 16 percent in March from a year earlier to 50,258 tonnes for a sixth straight month of year-on-year declines, although the pace was slowing, Ministry of Finance data showed on Wednesday. Demand for copper, used in utensils, construction materials and computer chips, is often seen as a gauge of economic activity. Japan March zinc exports fall 35 pct yr/yr TOKYO, April 27 (Reuters) - Japan's refined zinc exports for March fell 34.6 percent from a year earlier to 7,444 tonnes, widening from February's year-on-year decrease of 9 percent, Ministry of Finance data showed on Wednesday. The wider year-on-year drop in March reflected the impact from a March 11 earthquake which devastated northeast Japan and shut nearly 65 percent of the country's production capacity of zinc, used in automotive steel sheet and construction materials. Capstone Mining's Q1 copper production falls 24 pct April 26 (Reuters) - Canada's Capstone Mining Corp's said first-quarter production at its Cozamin and Minto mines fell 24 percent, hit by lower mining rates and ore grades, but backed its full year production forecast. Capstone expects to produce 80-85 million pounds of copper in concentrates in 2011, as mining begins in the Avoca area in Mexico's Cozamin and as ore crushing rates at Minto, in the Yukon territory, are scaled up. Indonesia's Timah says tin output may rise 5 pct this year PANGKAL PINANG, Indonesia, April 26 (Reuters) - Production at Indonesia's state-owned Timah , the world's largest integrated tin miner, may rise 5 percent this year as the firm prepares to use a new dredging boat, the CEO said on Tuesday. Timah said its current production forecast was 40,000 to 50,000 tonnes, Chief Executive Wachid Usman said at a tin conference. Tin ore output hampered by weather -Indonesian smelters PANGKAL PINANG, Indonesia, April 26 (Reuters) - Tin smelter Bangka-Belitung Timah Sejahtera (BBTS), which operates on Indonesia's Bangka island, is producing 1,000 tonnes of tin ore each month and looks set to miss its 30,000 tonne annual target , a director at the firm said on Tuesday. BBTS production was being hampered by adverse weather, and it cannot operate four of its five dredgers, Johan Murod, director of Bangka-Belitung Timah Sejahtera, which groups five private tin smelters on the island, told Reuters at a tin conference. |
